• How can I tell if it is time to replace my old locks?

  Old locks are almost as bad as broken ones, since they can be exploited, or worse, keep you locked out at some point or another. Some signs that indicate when you need to have the lock replaced are stickiness, tightening, and the entire deadbolt rotating as you turn the key around.

• What Is The Difference Between A Spindle And Split Spindle Lock in UPVC Locks

  A spindle lock works evenly from both sides, while a split-spindle lock has limited use on the outside. These locks are quite intricate mechanisms, and so handling either type of spindle with no professional experience is not recommended. 

• Why is there noise when I lock the UPVC door?

  The strike plate is most likely loose and the bolt hits it while protruding. It should be adjusted accurately and secured into place by tightening the screws. Missing screws should be replaced immediately.
